A cholera outbreak in Bukonzo West constituency in Kasese district has left one person dead. Nine people have died since October 2011. Additionally, there have been 100 cases of cholera since October 2011.

Travellers to outbreak areas who will be mixing closely with the local population, and cannot ensure safe drinking water, can be immunised against cholera.
