The dengue fever outbreak in Jamaica is ongoing but the number of suspected new cases appear to be declining each week with 669, 466 and 250 reported for the weeks ending November 3, 10 and 17 respectively.
The Ministry of Health is urging continued vigilance by members of the public to destroy mosquito breeding sites as the island continues to experience rainfall.
A total of 3830 clinically suspected cases of dengue have been reported up to the week ending November 17. There have been seven confirmed dengue related deaths to date.
