Six new poliomyelitis cases were reported this week in Somalia (two from Bay region and one from Bakool, Lower Juba, Middle Juba, and Lower Shabelle regions respectively). This brings the total number of cases for 2013, to 180.
Nationwide immunization campaigns targeting all age groups were conducted 20-24 October.
