Yellow Fever Vaccine (Stamaril) Supply (Update)

Sanofi Pasteur MSD has reported that the single dose preparation of Stamaril® yellow fever vaccine is out of stock and may not be available until the end of August 2014.

All current back orders will be honoured and will be delivered over a two week period from 3 June 2014.

There is a possibility that multidose vials will become available once again, however, no date has been confirmed for this.

This temporary shortage may mean that some travellers will need to be referred to, or to seek out, alternate centres to receive vaccination, at least until the situation is resolved and vaccine becomes routinely available once again.
