Cholera in Ghana (Update)

A media report has warned of a new wave of cholera in Ghana. The report states that this latest outbreak has affected 11 districts in five regions including Greater Accra, Brong-Ahafo, Northern, Eastern and Central regions.

Advice for Travellers

Travellers to outbreak areas who will be mixing closely with the local population and cannot ensure safe drinking water can be immunised against cholera. A high standard of food, water and personal hygiene should also be maintained.
