The malaria advice for the Philippines has recently been updated. This country was considered by the Scottish Malaria Advisory Group (SMAG) after an extensive trawl of the available data was undertaken.
Overall the incidence of malaria is declining to lower levels. Human cases of P. knowlesi have been reported from Palawan.
