Public Health England Information Sheet

Public Health England has produced an information sheet to assist practitioners take appropriate action in the handling of live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) (Fluenz Tetra®/Flumist®) that has been stored outside the recommended temperature range.

The following is included:

  • What to do if LAIV stock has been exposed to temperatures outside of those recommended for storage (2-8°C).
  • Information on the stability of the the live attenuated intra-nasal influenza vaccine.
  • An incident checklist for handling vaccine stock
