The Public Health England (PHE) Vaccine Update January 2017
advises that ongoing manufacturing issues with the UK licensed BCG vaccine from SSI, and the increased global demand for BCG vaccine, continues to cause ongoing issues with supply of BCG vaccine for the UK.
Supply of the unlicensed InterVax BCG vaccine is currently stable and restrictions on ordering of this vaccine have therefore been lifted for eligible ImmForm accounts. Intervax is made available in line with prioritisation advice from PHE, consequently only accounts which see high numbers of infants at risk currently have access. ImmForm accounts with access will have been notified via email.
