On the 6 March 2017 the World Health Organisation (WHO) updated the yellow fever (YF) vaccination recommendations
for international travellers in relation to the current situation in Brazil.
As of 3 March 2017, YF virus transmission continues to expand into areas in Brazil that were not previously deemed to be a risk. The State of Espírito Santo in its entirety is now considered a risk for YF transmission and vaccination against YF is currently recommended for international travellers visiting any area in Espírito Santo State.
The newly defined areas at risk for yellow fever transmission in Brazil are detailed on the TRAVAX Brazil country page under the WHO Yellow Fever Vaccine Recommendations tab.

A traveller's risk of yellow fever is determined by their general risk assessment e.g. country visited, length of stay, city or rural, activities etc.
