On 29 December 2017 the World Health Organisation (WHO) reported continuing transmission of yellow fever in Nigeria.
As of 19 December 2017, 341 cases (of which 32 are laboratory confirmed) have been reported from sixteen states: Abia, Borno, Kogi, Kwara, Kebbi, Plateau, Zamfara, Enugu, Oyo, Anambra, Edo, Lagos, Kano, Nasarawa, Katsina and Niger.
There is a risk of yellow fever in Nigeria. Vaccination is advised for travellers (unless contraindicated).
Country requirement at entry (WHO): a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over 1 year of age arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.
