Vaccine Supply Update

01 April 2019

The following is an update provided by Public health England (PHE) regarding the supply situation for vaccines purchased directly from the manufacturers (for travel and risk groups):

Diphtheria, Tetanus and Poliomyelitis (inactivated) Vaccine

Sanofi Pasteur: Revaxis is now available to order without restrictions.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B Adult:

  • GSK: Supplies of Engerix B PFS singles and packs of 10 are available.
  • GSK: Supplies of Engerix B vials singles and packs of 10 are available.
  • GSK:Fendrix is currently unavailable. Resupply is anticipated in late March 2019.
  • MSD: HBVAXPRO 10μg is currently unavailable until further notice.
  • MSD: HBVAXPRO 40μgis currently unavailable until further notice.

Hepatitis B Paediatric:

  • GSK: Engerix B Paediatric singles are available.
  • MSD: HBVAXPRO 5μg are available.

Hepatitis A Vaccine

Hepatitis A Adult:

  • GSK: Havrix Adult PFS singles and packs of tens are available.
  • Sanofi Pasteur: Avaxim is currently available for orders without any restrictions.
  • Limited stocks of VAQTA Adult are available from AAH, MSD is now out of stock. Resupply is expected in April 2019.

Hepatitis A Paediatric:

  • GSK: Havrix Paediatric singles and packs of tens are currently unavailable. Resupply is expected in April 2019.
  • MSD: VAQTA Paediatric is currently available.

Measles, Mumps, Rubella Vaccine

  • MSD: Limited M-M-RvaxPro® stocks are currently available for the private market.

Combined Hepatitis A and B

  • GSK: Twinrix Adult singles are available.
  • GSK: Twinrix Adult packs of 10 are unavailable. Resupply is expected in April 2019.
  • GSK: Twinrix paediatric is available.
  • GSK: Ambirix is available.

Combined Hepatitis A and Typhoid

  • Sanofi Pasteur: Viatim is available to order without any restrictions.

Meningitis ACWY Vaccine

  • GSK: Limited supply of Menveo is available.
  • Pfizer: Nimenrix is currently available for private sales.

Typhoid

  • Sanofi Pasteur: Typhim is available to order without restrictions.
  • PaxVax: Vivotif is available.

Rabies Vaccine

  • GSK: Limited supplies of Rabipur are available. GSK is currently experiencing a supply delay due to manufacturing constraints through the first half of 2019.
  • Sanofi Pasteur: Rabies BP is currently out of stock. An alternative vaccine is available, for more information, please call Sanofi Pasteur Customer services 0148 350 5515.

Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine:

  • Valneva: Supplies of IXIARO are available without restriction.

Yellow Fever Vaccine:

  • Sanofi: Supplies of Stamaril are available without restriction.
