A message for TRAVAX users

22 December 2021

The Travel and International Health (TIH) team here at Public Health Scotland, would like to extend season’s greetings to all our TRAVAX users, and to thank you for all your support and feedback throughout the year.

Throughout the year, the TIH team strive to provide up to date, reliable and evidence-based travel health advice that is both user-friendly and practical.

Did you know, during 2021, our team have:

  • updated the country pages with the constantly changing country-specific risk of COVID-19 (found under the ‘Emerging Health Risks’ section of each country page)
  • revised and updated just under 90 disease and health advice pages
  • posted approximately 220 news and outbreak alerts
  • answered nearly 50 clinical enquiries via the TRAVAX health advice line and forum

Carried out individual country-specific reviews on all countries relating to:

  • Yellow fever certificate and vaccination requirements
  • Polio certificate and vaccination requirements
  • Hepatitis A vaccine recommendations
  • Global tuberculosis incidence
  • Reciprocal health agreements with the UK

And much more ….

We look forward to working with our travel health colleagues during 2022.

With thanks from

the Travel and International Health Team
