The Ebola outbreak in Uganda continues to grow in size. According to the Ugandan Ministry of Health, there are now 34 cases (16 confirmed, 18 probable) including 21 deaths.
The outbreak was first observed in Mubende District, but cases have now been reported from Kyegegwa District and 1 in Kassanda District.
Ebola is a type of viral haemorrhagic fever (VHF). It is spread through contact with the blood, body fluids or organs of a person or animal with the infection.
