A vacancy has arisen within the Travel and International Health (T&IH) team for a band 8A Senior Nurse. This post is a 12 Month Fixed Term / Secondment position.

The T&IH team deliver travel medicine advice, recommendations and services to both health professionals and the public. A key pillar of this involves developing and maintaining the TRAVAX and fitfortravel websites that provide continually updated information on health risks for travellers, their prevention and treatment. The team also lead on issues relating to port and migrant health, are fully involved with and collaborate in international communicable disease surveillance networks.
We are looking for an experienced individual to provide expert guidance and consultancy in travel health to a broad range of stakeholders. In this role you will be required to have a good understanding of epidemiological and research methods and be able to critically appraise scientific and clinical literature in order to inform the provision of evidence-based and best practice advice. You will be expected to operate at senior level across most of the varied work of the team. Line management and active clinical practice responsibilities are also included in the post.
