Public Health Scotland (PHS) have been advised that there will be a disruption in supply of the yellow fever (YF) vaccine Stamaril in the UK. The vaccine is expected to be out of stock for 2-3 weeks.
All enquiries regarding yellow fever vaccine supply should be directed to:
Sanofi
Head office: 0118 354 3000
Medical information team: 0800 035 2525
Vaccine wholesalers may also distribute the Stamaril vaccine from Sanofi and may have stock during this period.
Where a Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre (YFVC) is unable to provide YF vaccine during this vaccine shortage, the YFVC should research alternative supplies in their locality and direct travellers accordingly (this should be done for travellers who ring for advice and for travellers who attend for face to face consultation if vaccination is required promptly).
YFVCs can help travellers seeking YF vaccine at this time of vaccine shortage by:
Vaccine availability is subject to change, and this should be taken into account when advising travellers. PHS do not hold information relating to vaccine availability at individual YFVCs.
If attempts to source YF vaccine are unsuccessful, health professionals can contact the NaTHNaC advice line to discuss with an advisor.

Information about the separate issues of yellow fever disease risk and individual country certificate requirements is available on the individual TRAVAX country information pages.
