Cholera cases for the first quarter of 2012 have doubled to 8154 compared to the 4000 cases reported during the same period in 2011.

Advice for Travellers
Travellers to outbreak areas who will be mixing closely with the local population and cannot ensure safe drinking water can be immunised against cholera. A high standard of food, water and personal hygiene must also be maintained.
