Between January and December 2012, three countries in the WHO African Region experienced outbreaks of yellow fever; Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana and Togo.
Cote d'Ivoire reported 4 cases of yellow fever including 1 death, Ghana 10 cases and 1 death, Togo 3 cases and 1 death.

Advice for Travellers
Yellow fever is a risk to travellers in all of these countries and vaccination is recommended unless contraindicated. Travellers should also be advised to avoid mosquito bites.
