An outbreak of hepatitis A has been reported among villagers in Majo, Jagualito and La Laguna de Garzon in the department of Huila in the southwest of the country. To date, 7 confirmed and 31 suspected cases have been recorded.
Advice for Travellers
Immunisation against hepatitis A is usually advised for travellers visiting Colombia. A good standard of food, water and personal hygiene is also recommended.
