New human cases of avian influenza A(H7N9) continue to be reported in mainland China. On 26 May 2014, the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) of China notified WHO of 3 additional laboratory-confirmed cases of human infection with avian influenza A(H7N9) virus.
All three cases are male and currently in a critical condition. The cases were identified in the cities of Anqing, Huangshan and Ma’anshan in Anhui Province.
