The Ministry of Health for Algeria has notified WHO of two laboratory confirmed cases of MERS-CoV infection. Both cases are male, aged 59 and 66 years-of-age and had returned from Saudi Arabia where they performed Umrah pilgrimage. Both cases are receiving treatment in hospital.
