Malaria in India

The Health and Family Welfare Minister of Tripura has reportedly announced that 41 people have died due to a recent outbreakĀ of malaria in the state of Tripura, and that malaria parasites have been detected in the blood samples of approximately 3,215 individuals. Districts reported to be affected include the mountainous areas of Dhalai, Gomti, Khowai, North Tripura and South Tripura.
