Advice for Travellers

Vaccination against meningococcal meningitis is sometimes recommended for travellers to Mali.

Vaccination is dependant on an individual risk assessment but should be considered for travel to a region with a current outbreak/ongoing epidemic where close, prolonged contact with the local population is anticipated, particularly in overcrowded areas and during the high risk season.
