In the past week, one new case of circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus type 1 (cVDPV1) was reported in Laos. The case was identified in the Bolikhanh district of Borikhamxay province in central Laos. This brings the total number of cVDPV1 cases in 2015, to 2.
