The outbreak of yellow fever in Angola is ongoing. Since the outbreak was first reported in December 2015, a total of 96 cases of yellow fever have been confirmed and 26 individuals have died as a result of yellow fever. The outbreak has now spread from the Municipality of Viana to the provinces of Huila, Huambo and Cuanza South.

There is a risk of yellow fever and vaccination is advised for travellers (unless contraindicated). Travellers should also take steps to avoid mosquito bites.
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from all travellers over 9 months of age entering Angola.
