The media has reported on a fatal case of yellow fever in Mauritania. The case had been working in Angola where a large outbreak of yellow fever is ongoing and recently returned home where he was admitted to hospital.
There is a risk of yellow fever and vaccination is advised for travellers (unless contraindicated). Travellers should also take steps to avoid mosquito bites.
