Advice for Travellers

The disease is reported, although uncommonly in travellers. Travellers should avoid consuming unpasteurised milk and milk products, including cheese, ice cream and butter.

Those who may have animal contact during travel (occupational or during voluntary work) should wear protective clothing, gloves and wash well after possible exposure e.g. after assisting with animal births.
