Advice for Travellers

There is a risk of yellow fever in Uganda and vaccination is advised for all travellers (unless contraindicated).

All travellers going in and out of Uganda are required to provide proof of YF vaccination.

(On the 21 April 2016 the Ugandan Ministry of Health issued a press release which stated that all travellers going in and out of Uganda are required to provide proof of YF vaccination. This was in response to the current YF outbreak in Uganda; it does not specify a minimum age and should be followed until further notice.)

  • Travellers should also take steps to avoid mosquito bites at all times.
