Canary Islands (Spain) Specific Risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

There has been an increase in reported cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Canary Islands, particularly in northern parts of the Island of Tenerife. This is being monitored.

Please check the TRAVAX Spain page regularly for updates on any changes to the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

Advice for Travellers

On the mainland of Spain there is ahigh riskof exposure to coronavirus (COVID-19):

  • Travellers are advised toavoidnon-essential travel to Spain mainland.

On the Canary Islands, there is amoderate riskof exposure to coronavirus (COVID-19):

  • Travellers are advised toconsider avoidingnon-essential travel to the Canary Islands if they are at an increased risk of severe COVID-19
