Two confirmed cases of cholera have been reported from Mansehra district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The District Officer of Health also reports that more than 520 individuals are seeking medical attention for symptoms of gastroenteritis on a daily basis in the area.
Advice for Travellers
Travellers to outbreak areas who will be mixing closely with the local population and cannot ensure safe drinking water can be immunised against cholera. A high standard of food, water and personal hygiene should also be maintained.
