The Thai Ministry of Public Health Bureau of Epidemiology reports that, between 1 Jan 2011 and 13 Jul 2011, a total of 688 615 diarrhoeal cases and 29 fatalities were registered nationwide. The highest attack rates were reported in the northern region followed by northeastern region, the southern region and the central region. The 5 provinces with the highest attack rates of diarrhoea were Chachoengsao, Mae Hongson, Phuket, Maha Sarakham and Trat.
