The Ministry of Health for Cambodia has reported the death of a six-year-old child from confirmed avian influenza A (H5N1) virus infection. The child resided in Cheung Prey District, Kampong Cham Province. This is the eighteenth individual in Cambodia to become infected with the H5N1 virus and the sixteenth death from the illness.
