It has been reported that cholera has caused the death of a further 50 children in the southern districts of Hawlwadig and Hodan in Mogadishu, the capital of Somali. Cholera is confirmed in the Banadir, Bay, Mudug, and Lower Shabelle regions of Somalia.
Advice for Travellers
Travellers to outbreak areas who will be mixing closely with the local population, and cannot ensure safe drinking water, can be immunised against cholera.
