The Australian Medical Association (AMA) has reported that the number of cases of Ross River virus infection in Western Austalia has doubled in the last year. The AMA is urging the State Government to take action to reduce the mosquito population responsible for transmitting Ross River virus. The mosquito problem is said to be getting out of control.
