Avian Influenza (Human) in Cambodia (Update)

A 6-year-old boy from Cambodia's southern Kandal Province has been confirmed as a human case of H5N1 avian influenza virus infection. This brings the total number of cases to 17 so far this year (2013). There have been 10 deaths so far this year (2013).

Avian influenza is an ongoing problem in Cambodia; travellers should be aware and take steps to minimise the risk.
