There is a risk of yellow fever in most areas of the country (except Katanga Province) and vaccination is advised for travellers. There is also a certificate requirement for entry into DRC for all travellers over 1 year of age.
As there is a very low risk of yellow fever in Katanga Province, vaccination is usually not advised for this area, however, vaccination would be recommended if there was an outbreak going on in the province. Travellers should also take steps to prevent mosquito bites.
