Three new poliomyelitis cases have been reported in the last week in Kenya. This brings the total number of cases in 2013 to 5. Two of these new cases are the most recent and had onset of paralysis on 18 May 2013.
Preparations are ongoing for the next sub-national immunisation day, on 15 June, covering broader areas including all age groups in the Dadaab area. Further campaigns planned for late June and mid-August.
